I currently work for Simm Associates; Is there anyone out there that works in collections? If Simm Associates is sued for a message left by a collector on a voice mail to a residence, POE; relative etc.

who is responsible for paying the Law Suit? I thought the company would have liability insurance? When a Law Suit is filed against Simm Associates they bring the person who left last message on voicemail; if that person is NLE there they go to the previous employee who left the msg; It could be 12 months ago and hold them responsible for paying 1/2 of the lawsuit balance? Is this right?

again don't they have liability insurance for this? They wont even give you a copy of the law suit which is a joke? They want to settle out of court; Wanna know why? because the so called attorney they have working there isn't even licensed in delaware; he is only licensed in Maryland therefore if the employee having the lawsuit brought against them by Simm Associates should say i'll take it to court they would *** their self; which attorney will they bring C.B?

doubt it; I just want to see if anyone currently working in collections at another company has to pay a law suit even if you were not the person who generated it? They come after employees who hit bonus each month if the employee who generated the lawsuit doesn't hit bonus they go after the person on the acct who left a msg that does?

how fair is that? if u plan to work for simm u r out of your mind; they are the worst company in the STATE to work for; read on this site for additional complaints filed against them; I hope this company gets shut down so bad i can taste it!!!!

Thank you for the information in these posts. This firm has contacted me about another family member's debt to which I have no obligation therefore violating FDCPA.

I've sent an email to the three individuals above and a physical letter.

If I receive another communication about this debt, I will will be filing a suit against SIMM in my state of residence, Texas. I doubt they will be interested in making the trip all the way down to defend themselves.

I also worked at Simm Associates for quite a few years. I thought it was a real company and I was excited to be there until I worked my way into management (despite the fact they initially hired me at $11 an hour with a bachelors degree in business management-- how generous!).

At Simm Associates I recieved the first promotion in my life that paid less $ than my entry level position... and the promotion added stress and forced me to drop out of some of my college courses because of the added time needed for management. I now have achieved my Masters in Business Adminisration and looking back I could solve all Simm Associate's major problems and have them profitable in about a 6 month running period. The problem is that the most intelligent and fair person in the company (Greg Simendinger whom I have alot of respect for) is naive or somewhat left out of the major daily operations and he is not privy to the sneaky behind the scenes events that take place there.

Greg, the father and founder put his heart and soul into building Simm Associates. Unfortunately, he gave too much control to his sons and the business has declined accordingly. Sometimes, just being someone's son doesn't qualify you to properly run a business... (Jeff and Brad Simendinger).

Maybe they should go to business school like I did and then they won't have to watch Simm Associates dwindle away to nothing. You won't be able to find a single Simm Associates employee that disagrees with me. I can run that place myself... and it would only improve if Jeff and Brad would take a long vacation and go get some proper training.

I'm sure that Brad and Jeff's inflated salaries don't help the overall profit margin of the company. By replacing Brad and Jeff with a single employee willing to work for less, you've taken the first step to getting back the same company profits that existed prior to 2008 (oh yes, I know way too much about their financials). Also it seems Jeff and Brad both date and/or marry their employees. Is that profesional?

I suggest they come to Simm Associates to work, not to look for a wife. I have a strong distaste watching an empire that Greg built be slowly destroyed by his inept sons.

Think about it Greg.

I personally worked there a few years back, and I hit goal and got the so called employee of the month. However, I was told to say what I could to get my money.

And I felt weary of this being I was in school for law, just needed some income, now, as I worked there I heard many cases of a "law suit" from the customer and them trying to pinn it on the employee. NONE of them had ever went through and they do it to keep their turnover rate beneficial to them so they hdont have to pay unemployment. Be mindful if you are a current employee because they are not going to shut down, they generate tooooo much money, however, know that you will be expected after a 90 day period to meet an outstanding unreachable goal unless yoy steel accounts. So leave fast!

They have a lot of sexual harrassment charges as well. And they dont fire very kindly.

Its abrupt and to the point, no in between no forms nothing! Get out FAST
